Like most people, we drink spiked eggnog during the holidays. But at Rebel Yell, we also like to think outside the bottle. Which is where these three spirited cocktails come into play. May your whiskey drinks be as memorable as your parties, rebel.
1.5 ounces Rebel Yell Root Beer Whiskey
1.5 ounces Ezra Brooks Bourbon Cream
Cherry, for garnish
Add ice to cocktail shaker. Pour ingredients into cocktail tin and shake. Strain over fresh ice into short rocks glass. Garnish with cherry.
Honey Vanilla Daze
2 ounces Rebel Yell Small Batch Rye
.5 ounce honey
2 drops vanilla extract
Lemon twist, for garnish
Add ice to cocktail shaker. Pour ingredients into cocktail tin and shake. Strain over fresh ice into short rocks glass. Garnish with lemon twist.
Hot Buttered Rebel
5 ounces Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
1 cup apple cider, preferably unpasteurized
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch of cayenne
2 cinnamon sticks, for garnish
In a small pot, gently melt butter over medium heat. Add the spices and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Add the apple cider and heat until warm, about 3-4 minutes more.
Add the whiskey, stirring well. Pour the warmed buttered whiskey into a mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
