When you’re ringing in the new year, a regular glass of champagne won’t do — especially for a bourbon drinker. But we solved that problem with this New Year’s Eve cocktail recipe, a riff on a French 75 that subs Kentucky bourbon for gin.
3 ounces Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon honey
6 ounces sparkling wine
2 lemon twists, cut before juicing the lemon
Fill a cocktail tin with ice. Add the first three ingredients and shake well. Strain into a champagne flute or coupe. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with lemon twist.
