3 Bourbon Cocktails Best Enjoyed Outdoors

Spring cocktails made with Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Rebel Yell Small Batch Rye

With spring comes the return of patio weather — and the need for bourbon cocktails that fuel your outdoor adventures.

Bourbon-Amaro Highball
1.25 ounces Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon
.75 ounce amaro
Sparkling water (such as Topo Chico)
Orange peel

Add Rebel Yell bourbon and amaro to a highball glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling water. Give a quick stir and garnish with orange peel.

Optional: For a bourbon amaro spritz, add diced strawberries and top with half sparkling water and half sparkling wine. This can also be served as a punch.

Elderflower Smash
1.5 ounces Rebel Yell Small Batch Rye
.5 ounce elderflower liqueur
1 ounce lemonade
Sprigs of mint
Sparkling water
Lemon wheel

Add Rebel Yell rye, elderflower liqueur, lemonade, and a few mint leaves to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled, then strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with mint sprig and lemon wheel.

For a sweeter cocktail, add a bit more elderflower liqueur.

Spring Manhattan
1.5 ounces Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon
.75 ounce Lillet Blanc
.25 ounce peach liqueur
2 dashes of aromatic bitters
Bar spoon of maraschino cherry liqueur (optional)
Lemon peel
Peach slice (optional)

Add Rebel Yell bourbon, Lillet Blanc, peach liqueur, bitters, and maraschino liqueur (if using) to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir to chill, then strain into an old fashioned glass filled with a large ice cube. Garnish with lemon peel and/or peach slice.
